Android vs. iOS: Developers prefer the Apple OS

Over the past year , the market share of Android smartphones continues to gain momentum . According to Gartner , the penetration rate of the Google OS stood at 56.1 % in the first quarter of 2011, against 36.4% a year earlier . In turn , the weight of iOS devices progresses, but to a lesser extent ( 6 points to 22.9%). However, it is clear that the share of new mobile developments iOS remains much higher than the new Android projects oriented ( see chart).Finally, it is always interesting to develop skills around the Apple system. Development needs in this field remains much higher . In its latest study on the salaries of Web developers , recruitment firm Urban Linker weighs slightly this view . Despite the need for greater skills on the side of Apple's OS , the remuneration proposed hiring for positions developer iOS and Android remain comparable. And because of a labor market still also reached the side of Android development. There would be room for everyone.
